A Night to Remember at Haus of Cabaret Brighton
As featured on Discover Brighton
There’s magic in the air the moment you step into Haus of Cabaret Brighton – a seductive, sparkling jewel in the city’s crown that brings the golden age of performance roaring into the present. We were lucky enough to enjoy a dinner and show experience that left us dazzled, delighted, and desperate to return.
Housed in one of Brighton’s most cherished performance venues, Haus of Cabaret is steeped in vintage glamour. The venue oozes 1920s Art Deco elegance: crisp white linen covers each table, silverware gleams under soft lighting, and the iconic silky backdrop of the stage promises a night of mischief, music, and mesmerising talent. As sassy, sharply dressed waitresses swirled through the room with trays of perfectly shaken cocktails, anticipation buzzed in the air.
When the lights dimmed, the room hushed, and we were suddenly transported into a world of decadent entertainment.
Enter the indomitable Dolly Rocket, our hostess for the evening. Commanding the stage with charisma, razor wit, and glam in every sequin, Dolly is a powerhouse of cabaret. She deftly balanced bawdy humour and theatrical flair, winning over even the rowdiest of guests. One moment she’s dishing out banter with a chode joke, the next she’s making your mum feel like a star on her birthday (as was the case for one of our lucky party members!).
Dinner here isn’t just fuel between acts – it’s part of the show. We began with a silky pea soup, followed by succulent chicken with dauphinoise potatoes, seasonal greens and gravy, finished with a dreamy crème brûlée cheesecake and a refined cheese board. Every bite was indulgent and beautifully presented, pairing perfectly with our flowing wine and espresso martinis.
The entertainment lineup was nothing short of electric. Dave the Bear set the tone with a cheeky striptease that evolved into a powerhouse vocal performance. A spellbinding hoop artist and ethereal ballerina-style burlesque act turned up the heat and had us clapping like delighted seals.
Just when we thought it couldn’t get more celebratory, a birthday cake complete with sparkler arrived at our table and the entire room joined in a rousing rendition of “Happy Birthday” – a perfect end to an unforgettable evening.
Whether you’re celebrating something special or just looking for a spectacular night out, Haus of Cabaret Brighton delivers drama, delight and decadence in equal measure.
